Have you heard about the “Digital Kit” program grants?
This is a new aid plan of the Spanish government that has been promoted and financed by the European Union “Next Generation EU”. This program was published on December 20, 2021 in the BOE together with its bases to promote the digitization of companies. What is Kit Digital?
The Kit Digital aid program has a budget of 3,067 million euros for the years 2021 – 2022 – 2023. Approximately 1 million subsidies will be provided in Spain for the self-employed, micro-SMEs and SMEs.
It is financed with European Next Generation EU Funds and aims to improve the digitalization of SMEs with less than 50 employees in different fields.
What is subsidized with Kit Digital?
The “Bono digital” covers several areas for the digitization of small and large companies. You can opt for different categories in which to invest and receive this help:
- Website and internet presence.
- E-commerce (online store).
- Management of social networks.
- Customer management (CRM).
- Business intelligence and analytics.
- Virtual office services.
- Process management.
- Electronic invoicing.
- Secure communications.
- Cybersecurity.
Who is eligible and how much money do you subsidize?
These subsidies are intended for small self-employed as well as for medium and large companies. Companies and freelancers with up to 49 employees are eligible for this subsidy. If you are a self-employed without workers, you will be eligible for the lowest tranche of the Kit Digital voucher (up to €2,000).
- Between 0 and 2 employees: Up to 2.000€.
- Between 3 and 9 employees: Up to 6.000€.
- Between 10 and 49 employees: Up to 12.000€.
How to order the Digital Kit digital voucher?
The processing of all grants will be done through the Acelera pyme portal (https://acelerapyme.gob.es/). This will be the place to apply for them and sign contracts with digital service providers.
The only way to claim a Digital Toolkit grant is telematically on this website, there will be no option to send documents to the Administration in physical form.
First of all, you must visit https://acelerapyme.gob.es/kit-digital, scroll down to “How to request your Kit Digital voucher” and click on register in our private area. Access and fill in the requested data: name, NIF, size of your company, or if you are self-employed, location and contact details to create your Acelera Pyme account.
After filling in all the information, you have to send it and you will receive an email confirming the activation of your account. You will not be able to access the procedures to request your Digital Kit voucher until the different calls for applications are activated.
The next step will be to take a test with very simple questions to see the “digital maturity level” of your company. Finally, when the grants are open you will be able to select the service you want to hire in the “Digitalization Solutions Catalog”.
When should grants be requested?
The calls will be made public at different institutional levels from July 2021 to December 2023. Mainly from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Industry. Once you have applied for the subsidy in any of the digitization categories, it must be approved and subsequently executed in each digital voucher.
